When did you join Littleport Brass?

Joined when I was 9-10 years old, left when I was 15. Rejoined when my eldest daughter was 8 (she is now 27) to help her in junior band and then we moved onto senior band.

 

When did you start playing and on what instrument?

Aged 7: cornet. Taught by Salvation Army @ Littleport

 

Who was your inspiration when you started playing?

3rd generation to play, not sure I had much choice really!

 

Why do you enjoy playing at Littleport?

Enjoy playing music with a great bunch of people

 

What has been your most enjoyable moment so far with Littleport in terms of music performed, social events, contests or concerts?

Joint memorial concert with GUS, Rhiannon’s wedding and winning the 3rd Section Areas

 

What would you like to achieve with Littleport in the future?

To get to the 1st section again

 

Away from Littleport what else do you like to do?

Spending time with my daughter and sleeping!
