When did you join Littleport Brass?

Initially about 40 years ago with breaks for university and having babies!

When did you start playing and on what instrument?

At school - was given a baritone

Who was your inspiration when you started playing?

No-one! Was given the opportunity to play and loved the brass band sound.

 

Why do you enjoy playing at Littleport?

It’s been part of my life for so long it is like part of my family. It is also something very special when you can share that experience with your partner.

What has been your most enjoyable moment so far with Littleport in terms of music performed, social events, contests or concerts?

Winning third section areas as a conductor. Up to now the Disney concert has been my favourite as a player. We are very fortunate to play with a group of people who get on so well inside and out of the band room. Our social events are always good fun and memorable.

What would you like to achieve with Littleport in the future?

Increase the number of concerts. Move back up into 2nd section

Away from Littleport what else do you like to do?

Started playing the flute again which was actually my main instrument.
