When did you join Littleport Band?

1977 to 2019 - rejoined March 2023

 

When did you start playing and on what instrument?

My first instrument was cornet at the age of 10

 

Who was your inspiration when you started playing?

I had a test at primary school (Bentley Test) which determined if you were eligible to play a musical instrument, my choice was brass as my Dad was a member of the band at that time, so I guess 'my Dad' was the inspiration

Why do you enjoy playing at Littleport?

I have been enjoying brass music for over 40 years and have a fondness for Littleport, it has always been a great place for making music with your band mates

 

What has been your most enjoyable moment so far with Littleport in terms of music performed, social events, contests or concerts?

I was part of the band when it was promoted to 1st section nationally. a great achievement. I love all concerts and have enjoyed various events under the musical direction of various different MDs

 

What would you like to achieve with Littleport in the future?

Just to be happy making music with my fellow band mates and winning a few trophies along the way

Away from Littleport what else do you like to do?

Guitarist for 2 bands, sing and have fun
