When did you join Littleport Band?

When did you start playing and on what instrument?

April 2020 - about a month into lockdown 1, I bought a cheap cornet and taught myself to play, to the horror of my parents and neighbours.

 

Who was your inspiration when you started playing?

It was a viewing of Brassed Off that inspired me to buy the cornet...

 

​Why do you enjoy playing at Littleport?

It's such a friendly band. I didn't know many people at all when I moved to the Fens, and it's been so lovely to be so wholeheartedly welcomed into the band.

 

​What has been your most enjoyable moment so far with Littleport in terms of music performed, social events, contests or concerts?

Whit Friday! 

 

​What would you like to achieve with Littleport in the future?

I'd like to get to the point where I can play all the notes...

 

​Away from Littleport what else do you like to do?

I make all my own clothes, which at least is a quieter hobby for the neighbours!
